Thom Azur Travel is proud to be able to offer this unique roundtrip which takes you on a journey through the central plains of Thailand, where we start with visiting the old capital of the Lana Kingdom, Chiang Mai and end at the historical city of Ayutthaya. This is the ultimate overland trip and leaves amble opportunity to enjoy the landscape and diversity of Thailand.
Day 0: Departure day: The trip will be started from your chosen hotel in Bangkok. You will be picked up by your tour guide who will take you to the train station in order to start your trip by taking the night train to Chiang Mai (Air-con , sleeping berth, 18.10-08.15)
Day 1
Arrival Chiang Mai.
You will be picked up after arrival to Chiang Mai at the Chiang Mai train station, where the Journey of the day will start. Breakfast will be provided on the way. The first visit is Wat Doi Suthep, one of Chiang Mai's most respected temples that can be seen, from wherever you happen to be in the city, clinging to the mountainside near the summit of the mountain Doi Suthep 1,053 meters above sea level. The temple was built in the late 14th century under King Geu Na, and attracts many Buddhist pilgrims, both local and international, throughout the year.
Then we go to Baan Tawai Handicraft Village located about 12 kms to the east of the city, and
home to dozens of wood working shops and other handicraft factories. At the rear of many shops it is possible to watch the craftsmen at work. This fascinating art has been practiced by
generation after generation. Lunch will be at a local restaurant and then sightseeing around Chiang Mai by tuk tuk to visit Wat Chedi Luang and Warorot fresh food market.
In the evening, experience the genuine Northern-Thai culture, enjoying the traditional Khantoke dinner to the tunes of a magnificent Thai classical dance show in a majestic Lanna-style mansion.

Day 2
Chiang Mai
On day 2 we drive north of Chiang Mai to The Chiang-Dao Elephant Training Center which has one of the most beautiful natural settings in Chiang Mai surrounded by small hills and the Ping .
River running through it year round. The Elephant Training Center is today home to 32 elep-hants. You will learn all about elephants – their nature, their individual traits, their lifestyles, their talents and their charms. You will also get a glimpse at the unique and very real relation-ships between elephants and their mahouts. Experience also the exciting elephant ride through the jungle and after the ride enjoy the exciting and scenic bamboo rafting down the Ping river through the beautiful natural forest. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Visit to one of the beautiful Orchid farms in the area and then return to the hotel late afternoon. In the evening, enjoy shopping at the Chiang Mai night market on your own.

Day 3
Chiang Mai - Lampang
After breakfast, we drive along the rural area and beautiful landscape, first stop at the local jungle market to view the very exotic foodstuff offered for sale. Then visit the elephant hospital and see their literally jumbo equipment required to treat these great animals. The Thai Elephant Conservation centre also has an elephant training show. Lunch will be provided on the way. After lunch go further to hotel, check in and relax. The afternoon and evening will be free.

Day 4
Lampang – Sukhothai
After breakfast, check out and then we do a city ride in horse-carriage. After that we will drive to Sukhothai, the great historical city. Along the way, we will visit some interesting places. Lunch will be provided on the way. After lunch go further to hotel, check in and relax.

Day 5
Sukhothai
After breakfast, weare going to visit Sukhothai Historical Park; the first truly independent Thai Kingdom, here we will visit the ruins of the Royal Palaces, Buddhist temples, the city gates, walls, moats, dams, ditches ponds canals and the water dyke control system which was the magical and spiritual center of the Kingdom are now preserved and restored by the Fine Arts Department with the cooperation of UNESCO. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After lunch go to Srisatchanalai Historical Park, its ruins lie on the right bank of the Yom River. one of the best examples of a Thai Muang, it was laid out along fixed cosmological lines, where the temple complexes lay at its heart, surrounded by city walls, rivers and forest. Evening free.

Day 6
Sukhothai- Lopburi-Ayutthaya
After breakfast, we check out and drive to Lopburi where hundreds of wild monkeys share the city life with the local people. Throughout the city centre the monkeys are seen high and low and at the central temple they are very numerous and waiting for receiving food.
Visit to King Narai palace and Wat Sao Thong Thong. Lunch will be served at local restaurant.
After lunch, drive further to Ayutthaya, the former great kingdom of Thailand. Then take a city and historical tour around Ayutthaya. The evening is free.

Day 7
Ayutthaya – Jomtien, Pattaya or Hua Hin
After breakfast, check out and leave Ayutthaya. Visit Bang Pa In (the royal summer palace and
gardens) North West of Bangkok. Then drive further to your chosen hotel in Jomtien, Pattaya or Hua Hin. Lunch is not included.
